What did we do before everyone had a cell phone camera? We took instant pictures of course. A vanished world, now.Paul is a personal friend with whom I worked for several of his years at the Photographic Services Group on Osborn St., right above Dr Land's office.
Paul was always inventing new uses for Polaroid film of various kinds. I remember the early days of SX70 film, when he realized he could 'squish' the emulsion in the few moments while it was still wet to create an abstract-painting effect.
In this book, you'll see an example of that, and the best of other techniques he discovered by experimenting with and manipulating instant film. Best of all, you will get an insider's peek into a vanished world from the perspective of a lifelong professional photographer. I highly recommend it.

Paul camello is the most talented photographer, I have ever used. His book shows his creativity for art and still photos.
I really enjoyed it.
I think it would make a great book for anyone who loves photography.
Paul Camello is an enormously talented photographer who spent many years at the center of the action at Polaroid Corporation and the evidence is the excellent work in this book. Very well done!
An important book for anybody interested in photography and photographic history. Especially "Instant" photography.
Beautiful examples of photography by a pioneer photographer / researcher employed by Polaroid during their "hey day" years.
Mr Camello includes a brief synopsis of the history of the company along with details of some of the individual photographs he chose to include in his book.
This is a high quality book printed on excellent stock with wonderful reproductions of a sampling of Mr Camello's photographic art.
You definitely will not be sorry for making this purchase!
In years to come this book will be sought after and probably very hard to find.
I'm glad I purchased one.
